Belonging at Work
Work is rarely just work.
A comment follows us home. A recognition changes how we carry ourselves. A missed opportunity becomes a question we revisit for years.
We spend 80,000 hours of our lives working. We often underestimate how deeply those experiences shape us.
The longer I work in culture and community, the more convinced I become that we all seek the same thing. We want to bring value, but more importantly, we want to feel valued.
We remember who believed in us. Who made room for us. Who helped us become better versions of ourselves.
Every workplace is more than a collection of roles and responsibilities.
It is a community of human beings carrying hopes, fears, ambitions, and stories.
And every interaction leaves a trace.
The question is not whether we impact one another.
The question is what kind of impact we leave behind.
